Hi,

Please advise on the best way to liquidate inventory to close out a
wholesale business
altogether.

Thank you in advance for all your help.

I would tend to lean towards puting a sale, but not
advertizing the "going out of bussiness", be honest about
it, but not advertize it because people will tend to wait
untill the prices are really low at the end. That's my
thought, but I'm no expert.

Hi Wayne,

Thank you for taking the time to advise.

I was thinking of giving the retailers a discount on what I have in
inventory and then ebay the rest of the items, that is, becoming a seller
myself until I get rid of all of them.
My main concern is how to tell the retailers that they won't be able to buy
from me any more after this?!

It's too bad that nobody else has responded to your
thread. I'm no expert, that's for sure. I just see "going
out of business" sales as being degrading and a lack of
respect for the seller. I would not hide the fact that you
are going out of busines, once it's official. I just would
not advertize it. That's just my personal oppinion, not
any sound advice, and I could be wrong in my oppinion.

What's your reason for going out of business?
