Long story made short, I'm looking for a different company to handle my
credit card transactions. Does anyone have experience with a company they
can recommend?

Right now, my cc transactions are handled by Bank of America, but it seems
the cc terminal I need (something that handles multiple businesses on the
same machine) is something they tell me I need to buy from eBay -- then I
have to have it programmed somewhere else, then I contact them to finish
some sort of complicated transactions.

When I first signed up with them, they promised me I could have each barber
(each is an independant contractor, so we can't collect all the $$$ into one
account and apportion it out later) have the charges go into their own
seperate bank account. When they delived the equipment, they brought a
seperate terminal for each barber, and that ain't gonna work.
Supposedly the Nurit 2085 terminal will handle all my barbers, but for some
reason the Bank of America can't get me one of those . . . sheesh . . .

Anyway, I'd appreciate any info on any cc company . . .

Thanks,

hello

I use Woodforest National Bank out of Texas...even though I'm in NJ. I've
had good luck with them so far. Their website is:
http://www.woodforest.com/commercial_banking/businessDevelopmentServices.htm

I also have a local rep who gave me the credit card machine and everything
that I needed - I found their rates to be excellent also...

If you like what you see on hte website, let me know and I can email you the
name of my sales rep....

I had also looked at BJ's wholesale club and Costco which both had very good
options.

Good luck.

Thanks for the referral . . . oddly enough, while I was looking around, a
rep from a local credit card processing company stopped by and offered a
solution. I bought my own credit card machine, his company will program
it, and I get reduced rates (better than Costco, too).
Thanks again,
